We are a weekly, two-hour, internationally syndicated, Country music show from the Nashville area that plays todays hottest hits, yesterdays classic favorites, all wrapped around the best independent artists that just might be tomorrows big stars. Our show began in 2010 and is hosted by husband-and-wife team Al and Chastity Shephard.
Our show includes the 90% of great Country music that usually doesn't get played on the regular radio stations, plus our "Jukebox Oldie" classic country songs, as well as tunes from our Top 20 Chart and artist interviews from podcaster Kyle Corbliss. We also have recurring features, such as our "Songwriters Corner" highlighting song demos available to be cut, "Country Dreams Time Machine" playing #1 songs from years past, "Pass-Thru" songs which were good songs that almost made to our Top 20 but missed it. Our "Indie Showcase" features one up-and-coming artist each week. Plus we feature an International country song or a song to celebrate our truckers occasionally. So our show has a little something for everyone!
We've found that contemporary country fans like hearing music "that is so new it's still in diapers", and that allows your station to truthfully say, "we have the newest country music anywhere".
Classic country fans like the more traditional stuff, and some of todays hot new independents are carrying on that tradition. Plus some of the country legends are releasing brand new music that a lot of listeners don't even know about. Country music doesn't need to be segregated, we prove it all sounds great side by side.
Yesterdays legends, todays hitmakers, and what may be tomorrows top stars, all together in one great musical stew.
Country Dreams is available for download in (6) 320K MP3 segments each Friday for a weekend premiere. Each hour contains 8:20 of local commercial avails per hour.
For non-commercial stations, the show is available in one file roughly 93 minutes long.
Here is a comment from a recent new affiliate, "I just wanted to let you both know I grilled and listened to the show with my wife who absolutely loved it . I want to assure you that we are not going to add another country show. I don’t think anyone could be this good. Thanks again. " - Tom, NightRaven Radio
