Showtune is a weekly look at all eras of stage and screen musicals. With over 50 minutes of music in each show, anecdotes and backstage tales, Showtune paints a picture of the history of Musical Theatre whilst keeping you up to date with what's new.
The show is UK based but the content is suitable for all regions. I talk about what is new in the West End, UK and on Broadway alongside a varied content of shows from the last 100 years and have a current listener base that includes regular listeners in Australia, Portugal and the USA as musicals are universal.
The content of the show is primarily music. I have a vast library and endeavour to keep the programme varied. Each programme will include songs from across the eras, with a variety of styles. I do occasional 'specials' if there is some event that needs marking. I have included interviews in the past and hope to bring more in the future. I believe in variety and don't repeat tracks within 6 months unless an occasion calls for it, so you will get a fresh and varied selection each week composed of popular favourites, rare gems, and everything in between.
Shows will be released each week on the Monday. I have an extensive back catalogue of recorded shows so will be able to provide a show 52 weeks a year even if I haven't recorded a new one that week.
