THE MORNING HITLIST – APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR JANUARY 2027
Designed primarily as a breakfast programme, The Morning Hitlist is produced without fixed time checks, giving stations the flexibility to schedule it elsewhere during the morning if required.
THE SHOW
Hours 1 and 2 are The Morning Hitlist: an upbeat mix of the biggest current hits, recent favourites and familiar songs from the 90s, 00s and 10s.
One or two big-hitting 80s tracks will also feature across the week as specially selected hour starters.
Regular features include:
THE MORNING HITLIST MYSTERY
A new mystery begins in Hour 1 every Monday, with another clue each day before the answer is revealed on Friday.
RECORD OF THE WEEK
One standout current track is selected and featured throughout the week.
HOUR 3
Monday to Thursday, Hour 3 becomes The More Music Workday, with longer music sweeps and fewer interruptions as listeners move into the working day.
Every Friday, Hour 3 becomes The Weekend Warmup: an upbeat mix of pop remixes, dance crossovers, big party favourites and familiar chart hits to start the weekend early.
MUSIC POLICY
The Morning Hitlist combines:
• The biggest current pop and chart hits
• Strong recent and recurrent favourites
• Familiar hits from the 90s, 00s and 10s
• Selected big-hitting 80s hour starters
• Upbeat dance crossovers and pop remixes during Friday’s Weekend Warmup
DELIVERY
The programme is supplied as broadcast-ready MP3 files every Sunday via Dropbox or WeTransfer.
Each hour runs for approximately 52 minutes, leaving eight minutes for station news, advertising, local information or additional music.
Files are clearly labelled and supplied using a consistent format to make scheduling and playout straightforward. Station-specific promotional audio and branded social-media graphics can also be provided on request.
The Morning Hitlist is designed to give stations a professionally produced and dependable weekday programme with strong music, memorable features, contemporary imaging and enough flexibility to fit comfortably around local output.
